WHEN CAN WE AVOID ROOT CANAL FOR CROWN?
If there is gap between the teeth , missing teeth present and the adjacent tooth is strong and doesn’t have any deep cavity, it is always better to go vital tooth preparation( can avoid root canal and take measurement for crown)
WHO CANNOT HAVE A VITAL TOOTH PREPARATION?
If the oral hygiene of the patient is bad, and is difficult to maintain, vital preparation are not recommended. If the tooth is mobile and not stable, vital tooth preparation is not recommended.
Vital tooth preparation is recommended so that unwanted root canal procedure can be avoided if the tooth is strong and decay free.
