What is the difference between Conventional and Self-Ligating braces?

Whether it is metal or ceramic, self-ligating has some advantage over the conventional one:

  • Self-ligating braces are easy to maintain, as they do not have any modules (rubber band) around the brackets.
  • Hygiene at the best with the Self-ligating one
  • Self-ligating is faster than Conventional ones (you get to save 3 to 4 months)ceramic braces scaled
  • Check up can be done once in two or three months, but with Conventional ones once in every month is mandatory.
  • Self-ligating has mild expansion in movement.
